It's probably not going to happen within the next five years, but once something like this does become readily available it's no holds barred for history to literally be rewritten (and in a lot of cases not for the better)

Obviously what Chris Benoit did was absolutely heinous and he has not been mentioned in any way shape or form, BUT his wrestling matches remain on Peacock.

They really gave WCW fans one good match (Johnny B. Badd vs Brian Pillman) to start and then an awful match and two middling contests on a PPV. If the IWC was around at this point, they'd be tearing WCW apart

Classic LOLWCW moment, Johnny B. Badd wins the match to determine the #1 Contender for the US Title but never gets a title shot.

In fact, Pillman gets the US Title shot on WCW Saturday Night on September 30th.

Overall Show Rating: 5.5. Incredibly safe go-home show leading to Fall Brawl.

Starting Fall Brawl 1995 now #WCW95

One thing I'm loving about the presentation of early Nitro is how they're promoting WCW Saturday Night to try and get people to watch their secondary programming and loaded it with some solid matches.

It doesn't last but it's great to see them actually care about it.

Sting vs VK Wallstreet was a passable match that didn't do much other than put a star out on center stage and VK worked well with Sting. ⭐⭐ 1/2

Halfway through the second episode of Nitro and I'll run through quick thoughts before getting back from lunch.

Alex Wright vs Sabu was a fine match but weird finish with the DQ due to post-match stuff - ⭐⭐

Ric Flair and Luger Town Hall was fun stuff between the two (Lex low-key a solid talker)

The first episode of Nitro really ends on a strong note getting people hooked on the idea of tuning in next week booking Luger and Hogan on the go-home show before Fall Brawl.

Overall Show Rating: 6.5/10 (good pacing, great hook for next week, overall decent show)

Hogan vs Bubba Rogers was definition of 80s WWF wrestling and after we saw two way better matches before this really showed how passe that style of match is.

Flair and Sting can't have a bad match, but they can get knocked down some pegs because of dumb BS.

I swear the vibe that the Mall of America had for the first Nitro is peak. Like the shots of the people going up and down the escalator and the top-down shots are insane. #WCWNitro
