That is badly needed and appreciated. We work with the poorest communities across Asia-Pacific, and the discord between what is recommended and what is being done is heartbreaking.

What will the group do beyond an article and a report? While I value academic outputs a lot, lately I wonder who we are really writing for? We need more hands-on, on-the-ground work to make an impact on all those affected by this unstoppable beast in real time.
