“Train good and car bad!”
Bro forgot public housing exists and we shouldn’t be caving to this framing that private developers push

Nah fuck that

The only city actually in the PNW is Salem OR
November 28, 2025 at 4:40 PM
Excluding Oregon is crazy work

There is absolutely nothing southwest about Vancouver from a geographic perspective unless you’re centering Canada. Objectively in terms of the pacific coast in the Americas it is the northwest, but if you want the more proper term there is Cascadia.

Service every whenever we feel like it

At best you’ll get 2 months free than the next renewal they’ll raise your rent 8%

A lot of these appear to be former apartments that were converted into lower density housing but larger homes themselves.
November 26, 2025 at 2:07 AM
The landlords aren’t gonna drop your rent
November 26, 2025 at 12:32 AM
I was one and delt with a lot of them than I realized blindly supporting a free market is an easy way to get everything you own to go up in price.
November 26, 2025 at 12:31 AM
So no market regulation has ever helped you?
November 26, 2025 at 12:13 AM
Trimet’s leadership is just completely neutered when it comes to any form of outreach other than “we exist!”
November 25, 2025 at 10:31 PM
He’s a performative billionaire?
November 25, 2025 at 10:28 PM
If you had a fully free market you’d probably be a slave to a company
November 25, 2025 at 10:22 PM
Well there’s two ways to solve that
1. More housing (good but only if you are infinitely building)
2. Changing the feudal rent system (it’s the 21st century we can move on from its archaic form into something more equitable and better for long term residents)

Rentcuck 🫵RAISE THIS GUYS RENT MORE!
November 25, 2025 at 10:09 PM
You sound like a medieval peasant defending their lord
November 25, 2025 at 10:06 PM
Slows rent growth* why is rent growing? Have we considered it might be the landlord class doing that to further inflate their wealth
November 25, 2025 at 10:05 PM
I would agree. We also need public competition to keep the private industry in check
November 25, 2025 at 10:02 PM
Unfortunately most people don’t have the money saved to wait for baby incremental steps. They need help now and the YIMBY movement hasn’t done anything for them.
November 25, 2025 at 10:01 PM
That’s where we’re different! Because landlords of all sizes are scum sucking leeches. True dregs of society who take away from the working class.
November 25, 2025 at 10:00 PM
I’m dead serious. Tell me in the past decade when your rent has been lowered because of the free market
