The speaker of the house never seems to know anything about anything, and the explanation "i dont follow the news" is just too hard for me to believe even if it was acceptable for THE SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE to not follow the news????

My parents are terrible boundary setters. I remember one halloween we (kids) woke up to the doorbell from a group of teenagers at like 11pm and my mum still happily gave them treats.

Oh shoot I assumed youd be on a computing device that could google it. UBI stands for universal basic income. Its sharing the wealth of a nation with uts citizens to guarantee a minimum standard of living.

Thats why UBI? Tax the rich and implement a UBI is the full sentence. You seem to have read part of the sentence, got triggered i guess, and then argued against a sentiment that was already addressed

the way the right is foaming at the mouth, happily lying to foment anger and violence is all the proof I need to know who the real violent extremists are. They've had these smear campaigns queued up and waiting, a little suspiciously.

I mean, it's pretty standard expectation that america never does anything effective to address anything for fear of "muh freedoms". With rumors (or confirmed?) instances of people maliciously setting fires, and of course the amount of people who have bonfires... I get it.

this is because Alberta's politicians are ALL owned by the oil and gas industry. They desperately need a grass-roots party with transparent finances so they can vote for someone to represent Alberta, not just oil interest
