(even worse since there's a little family rule of Christmas with family and New Year with friends... except if they aren't available- then you're dragged to the "family/parents friends" reunion and try to be in your corner until it ends) (not the same extent but? holidays irl and Amy do not mix)

(I just get some heavy mood swings too and getting a lot sadder more easily during the timeframe... plus feeling overwhelmed by all the family/family friends reunions one after the other... and my own friends being out of reach due to their own family stuff- I do dread the holiday period too)

thank you for sharing the whole story... as someone who has a pretty "ugh" relationship with Christmas/Holiday period? can feel some solidarity in what you said (though... my experiences with it are less on the triggering side and more on an overwhelmed/forced side of it) (January 7 save me then-)
