I think so. If I remember correctly the recovery was about six months.

And Minter coming back healthy and productive. There is plenty of risk, but the ceiling is pretty high too.

I am with you Charley. I would prefer Diaz, and with Williams that would mean games would feel over for the other team if the Mets are winning after seven innings. If Diaz doesn't come back I don't think Williams is a bad option.

As great as the homerun was, this is probably my favorite Bartolo play. The guy was just so fun to watch play.

Maybe the best pure hitter the Mets had in the 90s. Those teams played unreal infield defense and he was a big piece of that too. Always seemed like a down to earth guy.

My aunt used to take me to Shea once a year as a kid. She loved Jeffries. I was pretty young when he came up, but I remember how much she loved watching him play.

Not a memory of Gregg Jeffries himself, but a treasured memory and a great example of the Mets bringing family together.
