Success!! Finally got the acacia thorn out of my shoe from the summer field season in Kenya/Tanzania. Every other day...I'd step on a rock and feel it. Tomorrow...is a new day. 🙏🤞

This time...our commute from the river was stopped by a group of female lions and two cubs, hunting a warthog. 🤷 We had to stop out of respect for their hunt.

Dear #MaraRiver. You washed away our last fish tracking telemetry station that was attached to the bridge you destroyed in the last flood. We got a new station, with bigger antennas and concreted it to a rock above your last high water line. Your move.
