A federal judge has ordered #bannedbooks returned to U.S. military school libraries, ruling their removal violated students’ First Amendment rights. The books, covering race, sexuality, and gender identity, were pulled over political complaints.

Dr. Bonilla-Silva, leading sociologist whose work reshaped how we understand race and racism in the U.S., is known for coining the term “color-blind racism.” He's shown how inequality persists through systems that appear neutral on the surface.
