I process a lot of emotions when I perform and it can take me a while to feel grounded again. Being asked about gear is like being punched in the face by reality & capitalism after I just sent my mind to outer space. Exhausting.

Played for 4 hrs tonight (dj set then live) and having a guy interrupt a conversation I was having w/a woman to ask me what synths I use made me feel insane.

Not trying to be gatekeepy, but lately more and more people are having really emotional responses to my live performances and I’d rather hold what limited brain power I have left after a set for a person that potentially needs to process some feelings maybe and has genuine questions.

Written as someone that has cried no less than four (4!) times today (including while watching that video).
