“What do you think?” he asks, shifting nervously from foot to foot. She pauses, tilts her head, looking up the staircase to the second floor. Above them he hears the patter of Noah’s feet and Owen’s squeals as his uncle chases him down the hall. “You don’t like it?” he asks, worrying she has second thoughts. “Never lived in a house before,” she said, sitting down on a moving box. “Plus, you did once say you were hard to live with.” He belly laughs, leans forward, and plants a kiss on her lips. “Babe, welcome home,” he says, smiling wide.

#Wednesday100. I realized I haven’t done one of these from El’s POV so… idk with these pics it felt like the right time.
Her post-UC transformations always awed him. One minute she’s wearing a sheer shirt, lacy push-up bra (God, help him), a tight black skirt, and stilettos. Voluminous hair, dark makeup, and a sexy-but-lethal smile. Then, she wanders into a bathroom, locker room, closet, and when she comes back she’s *Liv* again. She returns from his bathroom in yoga pants and an oversized t-shirt tied at the hip. Her face is bare, curls in a ponytail, barefoot. She catches him staring. “Yes, I’ve transformed back into a swamp creature yet again.” Through a laugh, he says “You’re beautiful, Liv. Just like this.”

Watching her son hold his grandson was a surreal feeling. The way Noah looked down at the baby with awe, just like he looked at Nicky, wishing he could be a big brother. Elliot scooped up EJ from Noah’s arms and cooed at him. “Wanna meet grandma little man?” Her eyebrows crinkled. Surely Bernie had already met EJ. Then Elliot stopped in front of her chair. “Oh, El, no…” she protested. “Yes,” Elliot said passing her the bundle. She looked across the room at Eli and Becky. “Mom’s gone. Becky’s parents aren’t involved,” Eli said. “He needs a grandma, Olivia.”

Especially when he was trying to pull his own boxers on under the gown while still hopped up on sedatives. “Elliot,” she chided. “I got it,” he grumbled, twisting to put his back to her and slide a foot through the hole. What he failed to account for was open-backed gown. The sides split apart. The full moon came out. Not a bad view.
