It's just such a different mindset shining through; Iger sees the creatives at Pixar as assets with a specific culture that allows value creation; Catmull as collaborators and visionary professionals who thrive in an environment designed for them.

Oh yeah I 100% knew going in what kind of mindset Iger has. But it's fascinating how someone in his position can talk about storytelling in such a distanced way, as 'brand value' and 'capitalizing on the fans' and giving them what they want

I like to think my best trait is that I can look at another person and see potential for growth, for thriving, for self-realization.

I don't always get it right. But as a (former? or always?) teacher, I believe I have to see more value in encouraging growth than in maintaining the status quo.

No wonder people in power try to diminish that. It's dangerous, because it makes an in impact on the world.

But instead I've been hustling gigs for friends, catching up with people I've lost touch with (and received and given a bunch of peer support), and offering helping hands with planning for community events again. I've been asking folks for help when needed. I've been checking in with people.

Finland - It's popular as cold cuts for sandwiches, as a leaner ham alternative. You can also find it as filees or mince (usually used as a chicken alternative this way) and seasonally as a roll for Christmas. But getting your hands on eg. turkey legs is trickier.

It's somewhat tradition over here in Finland to keep it a little bit secret until a name giving ceremony (or baptizing) at ~2 mos 🍼
We do have one in mind, and it's probably going to be that one! It works in Finnish, Swedish and English, and makes good nicknames (incl. enby ones)
