small correction: General Motors has recently pulled out of NMG's planned graphite mine according to this article. NMG is increasingly highlighting the military applications of graphite, as the consumer EV battery market slows down.

3. BC's Ksi Lisims LNG export terminal, co-owned by the Nisga'a Nation, to be fed by the PRGT pipeline crossing Gitanyow & Gitxsan territory. PRGT will encounter fierce opposition along its route. Its contractors have already been targeted by a string of arsons.

2. The Nouveau Monde Graphite mine 2h north of Montreal on Nehirowisiw territory, where land defenders have successfully fought off encroachment by logging companies and have opposed this mine for years. GM, one of the mine's backers, wants to use graphite to produce batteries for AI datacenters.

Among them:

1. NB's Sisson Mine for tungsten + molybdenum, a giant open-pit mine funded by the US military and resisted by Wolastoqi land defenders who say it will destroy their home. After news broke, stock of the company Northcliff Resources jumped 130%.
