We weren’t organising the event. A hustings goes ahead with whoever candidates show up. He didn’t turn up

When the dust settles I’ll have a think about how we might stage an event to discuss how cultural organisations can contribute to democracy in a time of political extremism. We also dont plan to host any hustings in the near future.

this is the full applicable part of charity commission guidance. Obviously the law can be read in lots of different ways. As we are not organising the event and it is not a selective hustings, our reading i that we do not have the ability at this stage to cancel www.gov.uk/government/p...
