Is it wrong that I'd actually buy this?

I say this all the time...so glad someone else agrees!

I was hoping someone would have already posted up some Lois Duncan. I was obsessed with her books at school.

What a novel.

Way way too young. I read the whole series at my grandma's one summer. Maybe books should come with an age rating.

In the UK a lot of people use the word "trump" to mean a fart. My children think it's hilarious that there is a President Fart.

It was quite nice today actually.

I was saying this in my head as I read it.

That's called being British. Except for the first one, that's way too personal.

MPs should be barred from having second jobs. They should also be barred from investing in stocks and shares (other than generic ISA funds etc.). That would stop those wishing to exploit the system becoming an MP and encourage those that want to only be public servants. Does any party support this?

Ditto with the Simon Schama

Yeah in the UK he'd be considered a light to average drinker.

Two of my favourite literary characters: Cayce Pollard and Oedipa Maas. I wonder what they would make of each other?

She's playing the Royal Albert Hall! I saw her play there a fair few years ago and of course it was incredible.

More context in this article. First and second cousin marriages in the UK are predominantly within the Pakistani community.

I've been saying for years, the reason why people like Farage, Johnson and Trump became so powerful is because they made "good TV" or were easy to write about. It's true that there is no bad publicity. It's why the western world is the way it is now, sacrificed for better ratings.

I'm in the UK and the very early report I read at the time (it was either the BBC or the Guardian I think) said that he'd been cut by glass but then it was never mentioned again.

I still have mine after 27 years. I use it when I can't be bothered to spell out my usual email address. Being so old it's only four letters...that's email gold right there.

Other than writing to our MPs what can we do?

You could look at dates from London, UK. We've had a congestion charge since 2003

Agree. It is interesting how he shows absolutely no emotion when he's speaking.

My 11 year old son has recently diagnosed with autism and it has really helped him understand why he is the way he is. He has been excited to let everyone know. I can tell how much it means to him as he rarely speaks about himself to others.
