This. I think the scene just provided some hope and what has been a horrible year watching Trump amass fascist power. It feels like he has peaked and folks are looking for signs of that.

The burden should not be on Republican women to call him out. we must call out every Republican who refused to call him out. Women AND men are part of a toxic system that allows misogynistic vitriol. We must all push back. Please don’t focus on the gender of who pushes back. That’s a problem too.

Was this the problem 100 years ago when fascism rose and fell? Or is 2025 much different from that cycle? Obviously, the two time periods have different variables at play. Globalization and technology have certainly enhanced the virulence of oppression. But are the tenets the same?
