Your story is amazing & people need to know there are others who have suffered in their youth but overcame their trauma & built their life & helped others. I knew someone who built an amazing life after a traumatic childhood. The love & respect I experienced helped me be a loving person.

We don’t know if he is MuslIm or if he knew that the people being targeted were Jewish.
It seems that all we know is a hero stepped up without a gun to prevent more shots being fired at people in the crowds.
That’s true selfless courage not to think so deeply beyond stopping the gunman

Who the hell cares but of course he's of middle eastern heritage but he's also Australian to us and his bravery saved lives he's a hero for sure. I'm saddened by this attack but not surprised by it I didn't expect it to be in Australia first

There's been no reporting in major media that he's Muslim. He's from Lebanon, which is about 40% Christian. While his name may well indicate a Muslim heritage, he may actually be Christian, or even agnostic or atheist.

Regardless, he's a TRUE HERO.

The shooter attacked a Hanukkah event at Bondi Beach and shot more than 20 people...the man who took down the shooter is a Lebanese Muslim. Given how often Muslims are demonized, make note that he risked his life to save Jews.

I'd like to donate to him just for being a TRUE HERO and a role model for other men on how to disarm a killer.

I hope to see a Go-Fund-Me for this man.

America must stop the proliferation of guns in our country. They’re always in the hands of bad or mentally unstable people. Guns were never that hard to acquire before Republicans made it their mission to make guns easily available.
