It's because they A) thought Trump/Kushner were behind them, so didn't want to expend the resources, and B) because they didn't want to draw attention to the family members of sitting presidents profiteering on the presidency (a la Hunter Biden—yet another reason Hunter was a disaster).

Easily one of the biggest strategic mistakes Democrats made in the early 2020s was ignoring all of Jared Kushner's sordid international dealings.

You can count on one hand the Democrats who tried to make it an issue. It was a complete lay-up. And the Democrats completely bungled it.

Years after he first invaded Ukraine, it's time to forget the idea that we can ever convince Putin he won't win in Ukraine. It's a strategy destined for failure. (And probably always was.)

It's time to find a new strategy—one that can actually succeed.

Putin Will Never Compromise on Ukraine
Russia’s president is too committed to his own fantasies to ever accept Ukraine’s independence.

There's now a petition from Speak Out Sudan where you can call out the @nba.com for partnering with the UAE, while the UAE fuels genocide in Sudan:

I honestly think, even if the Kremlin was being stormed and he was forced to flee, he'd believe it was just a matter of time before he could turn things around in Ukraine.

He's become messianic in this belief, and has been for years and years. There's no changing him.

Why is stuff like this being written? The idea that Putin could possibly be convinced that "he cannot win a long war" in Ukraine is just wish-casting.

That ship has sailed. We're never going to see a day when Putin is convinced he'll lose in Ukraine.

Two things the UAE is currently sponsoring:

1) The NBA in-season tournament
