Once in effect, this detour will be in place 24 hours a day until Thursday, December 4, at approximately 4 p.m.

The new swings meet modern safety standards and third-party conformance testing. Designed for children ages 2 to 12, they include a hard harness and an additional belt harness option for younger users that requires adult supervision.

The new lighting spans approximately 2,600 feet (or about a half mile) of the Community Path Extension between Walnut Street and Poplar Street on either side of the MBTA’s East Somerville Station. Check it out and learn more at somervillema.gov/communitypath.
