NW Beaver Dr. is down to one lane near NW 90th Ave. and will stay that way for several days. Public Works crews are restoring the northbound lane after water main repairs. Once reopened, work will begin on the damaged southbound lane.

There is an active water main break in the 9000 block of NW Beaver Dr. Crews are on-site making repairs and have closed the northbound lane of NW Beaver Dr. between NW 90th Ave. and NW 73rd St. Please use caution in the area, as a four-way stop is in place at NW 90th Ave. and NW Beaver Dr.

Coyote signs have been placed near the Beaver Creek Natural Resource Area due to increased activity during mating season.

Trail users should stay alert, keep pets on a leash, and carry something to make noise if needed.

Looking for a low-cost way to stay active this winter? Johnston Parks & Recreation offers Yoga and Zumba classes on Mondays and Wednesdays at the Simpson Barn.

These classes are open to ages 16 and older, with monthly fees ranging from $12–$20.

Recent cold temperatures are freezing lakes and ponds, drawing people out for ice recreation. Ice thickness is not uniform and can vary across the same body of water. Use caution, never go out alone, and check ice thickness as you move. When in doubt, stay off the ice.
