if i don’t know you, i probably won’t “follow back” and there’s a good chance i’ll block you.
You should not need proof of insurance or anything else to be seen at urgent care. It’s urgent.

Painful to hear it laid out like that, but incredibly accurate.

Gurl, feeding yourself is an accomplishment. There are days when I’m like, “I made the bed. I’m such an adult!”

Yikes!

Who don’t work for an hourly wage… and may work more than 40 hrs/wk depending on their job, so I’d be curious about the actual breakdown in that situation. When I had a salary job, I worked 60 hrs/wk so I actually made less than minimum wage at the time.
November 5, 2025 at 6:58 PM
Yes, that includes salary workers.
November 5, 2025 at 6:53 PM
See above… also, do you live in NC? What do you mean “we”?
November 5, 2025 at 6:36 PM
You were pretty quick with the census link, too… but for hourly workers, the mean wage is still less than $20/hr, so I reiterate, who’s making that? People who don’t work hourly.
November 5, 2025 at 6:33 PM
That doesn’t mean it’s livable. And don’t get me started on the tip economy.
November 5, 2025 at 6:21 PM
I live in NC and the actual living wage where I am is almost $25/hr… my state’s minimum is $7.25/hr. I feel your frustration.
November 5, 2025 at 6:14 PM
I’m sorry, I got stuck on the hourly rate… who the f is making even that much rn?
November 5, 2025 at 5:59 PM
What if everyone stopped paying insurance companies? I think people assume they must have insurance to receive care and that’s not the case. Even paying the negotiated rate (what insurance companies pay, which is 50-72% less than the listed cost) is more affordable than what many pay for insurance.

Very seasonal, however.

Suggesting? You mean committing.

Telling that the daily tarheel ads are fox and capitol one.
October 1, 2025 at 6:34 PM
No, I haven’t! I’ll look for it.
September 25, 2025 at 7:24 PM
I mean, duh. What’s the plan?
September 24, 2025 at 8:01 PM
Get better soon buddy! Bill and I just had the same experience. It wasn’t too bad, mostly annoying.

I guess I can be down for a truth sandwich, but to your point, for those that only read headlines, aspirin causes autism now. I had been pretty excited about NPR reporters and contributors mostly saying “the administration says this, but that’s not true” lately on the air, but this is a roll back
September 23, 2025 at 9:11 PM
What the literal fuck?
September 23, 2025 at 8:17 PM
Straight up fire. This whole movie is like watching a live action Frazetta comic.
