I can’t get over how the navigation hamburger—the term used for an icon that expands into a drop down menu for navigation—is a hot dog on Vienna Beef’s website.

Another stab at a scene and a sign to convey a thought. I think I used 'ADD' for this one. Personally, I think this one turned out the best.

Stuck with the 'DARK' setting and thought about a composition that might tell a story or convey a thought. I went with a very simple shot of a residence and a sign nearby. I think this is probably the most compelling creative use for this mode. 🧵(4 of 5)

I switched over to 'DARK' for the next one. It's messy, but also there's something about it I like. It seems to slap together the darkest pixels between each image, filling the lighter pixel space with the other image.
The colors take a weird turn, too. 🧵(3 of 5)

Still learning the settings, so flying a bit blind, but the results are more interesting than I thought they’d be.
You shoot two NEFs and it automatically generates a JPG. You can access all three files in your editing software later.
This one was made with the 'LIGHT' setting. 🧵(2 of 5)

Never paid much attention to ‘Multiple Exposure’ mode on the nikonzf. Today, though, I played around with it, and I think it might be a nice tool to catalyze creativity when inspiration fails.

Spring rules. Heard all four of these birds from my office. Can’t wait to get out and hike this season.

Pulled the plug, coincidentally enough days before the renewal. Might be tough to get certain things, but I’d rather have to hunt for it.

The Starway Drive-In sign.
Opened in 1946 with spots for 433 cars, the Starway Drive-In was one of the first of its kind in KY. As the fate of Americana drive-ins took hold over the following decades, it sold in 1991, and a small amusement park opened there in 1994.
Today, it's no longer in use.

It's weird how much I miss Pizza Tower's Fields Ertel location (now demolished). I think I went there for the last time in the late 2000s while on a date. I don't remember it being especially good, but the aesthetic was oddly special.

Lighting test for an upcoming studio portrait shoot I’m doing later this month. My first time renting a studio work. Pumped.

Doom scroll break: If you have $5, you can get an original, small piece of artwork if you email ArtWorks and ask to use the Art-O-Mat vending machine (a repurposed cigarette machine) in the lobby of their headquarters.

Thinking about whether the Gary Lord print at the top of the Carew Tower will make it through the renovation or if it’ll be lost to a fresh coat of boring white paint.

Rjukan, Norway, doesn't see direct sun from Sept to March and is shrouded in shadow for most of the year. Though a cable car was built decades ago to take residents out of the valley for sunlight, an artist living there erected large mirrors to reflect sunlight into the town.

I can’t take the bus because the app won’t let me buy a fare. I guess I’m walking home…?
