Great to see spotting misinformation and disinformation added to the curriculum in English schools. One of our two joint consultation responses focused on this.

This was a fascinating watch - deeply disturbing but also inspiring in its portrayal of the librarians standing up to censorship. Thanks @cilipslg.bsky.social and other organisers for the opportunity to watch with other librarians and discuss the UK context.
Tonight at UCL, the Information Studies department, in collaboration with CILIP SLG and the Library Services Trust, hosted a screening of the @thelibrariansfilm.bsky.social documentary on book censorship and banning in the US. Barbara Band from SLG is talking about censorship in UK school libraries.
