You know, I've never used LJ, but I know it was popular. I'll be honest, never been huge on the social aspect as much as the technology behind it ;P

I don't remember it ever being anywhere near perfect. The fact that it was so open made it a threat vector from jump, but there were definitely times it was a lot of fun! It being a novelty too, counts for something. Before it became a torment nexus lol

I don't think it's even about what's healthy, as much as it's about representation. So many of them are out of touch with their constituents, and the bottom line is they were elected to do a job, representing their constituency, and the broader public.
