We’ve got a proud history of dairying here in Fallon, so on National Milk Day, we want to highlight some of that history with a few Creamland Dairy containers from the recently-acquired Skip & Joan Cann collection!

Last week we mentioned our Wish for US installation. Well it’s coming along swimmingly and we’re looking forward to seeing everyone’s hopes for 10, 50, and 100 years in the future! If you can’t make it to the museum yourself, we’d still love for you to participate...

On this day in 1904, Fallon officially became the Churchill County Seat, snatching the title from Stillwater. This probably should not have come as a surprise, as the courthouse was completed the year before!

It’s a time of year for self-improvement, which for many of us that means getting a gym membership and forgetting by February. We can’t help with that, but we can help you get involved and learn more about local history! Learn more here:

You might have heard we’re getting rid of the penny and wondering what that means for you. I’m not sure (I’m just the social media guy) but perhaps coin purses like this one – with spring-loaded spots sized for nickels, dimes, and quarters – will come back into style?

We’re entering the last week of “Bombus!” If you haven’t stopped by to see our Bee-utiful temporary exhibit, you’d better buzz on down, as these puns and the exhibit will be gone after Sunday!

We've heard some people were concerned to see the siding coming off of the Woodliff Building, but don't worry! This is all part of the preservation process. By replacing the old, worn out siding, we're better able to protect the structural integrity of this historic building.

It’s the Winter Solstice! It’s supposed to be unseasonably warm today, but if you’re still a little chilly, you can always come by and warm up! Photo: Ernest William Blair at Crane Creek, ca 1940.
