So I’m all dressed up to go hockeying. But today we decided to do the smart thing and stay home! Picking up lunch on the way back from our attempt, and watching on the tv. Go Hawks!

Traditional dinner of leftovers. We call it “greasy spoon special”, aka hot turkey sandwich. The only other one I eat is at CherryHut, Beulah.

It’s not snowing yet, here. Snow grains! Always reminds me of the series Mom and Yvette Nicole Brown (Christie’s sponsor, a tv weatherwoman) saying about moving to Minneapolis,”do you know how many types of precipitation they get there?” Here the answer is all of them sometimes at the same time!

I have a lot of veterans in my family. Both of our parents were WW2 veterans. My Dad was in for 4 years and was a staff sergeant. Head cook. He told great stories. My nephews, one was a c130 instructor pilot, ones in the Pentagon as a Major. Thank you and all for their service.

My current book. It is so good. I may plan a trip next year to the true UpNorth and thru Duluth. This book is so instructive and a very easy, enjoyable read. I’ll be ready for the gales this weekend. According to the author, they could be bad this year, as the weather has been so mild this Autumn.

You just never know what makes an impact. We were shocked while Up North last week. A car stopped us outside Fishtown and told us they had named their rescue dog after my wild thing, Augie. They were delighted to see him. You just never know.
