But instead you're going to watch him stick around for 12 more years chasing him around saying "you can't do that, this is what tyranny looks like!" Etc etc

I just hope creators don't start using viewer opinions to make future things. I feel like quality is already low because they're writing shows for people who stare at their phone when they watch. Like before every plot point, they have to make a loud noise and every few scenes we have a recap. Lol

My eyes just kind of glaze over when you say, "Bad writing? Okay, how would you have written it?" and they immediately default to what they've seen recently: multiverse and time travel.

And most importantly: Enjoy what you watch. I dunno why we lost that.

At some point people became so cynical that they're afraid to just be an audience and not "in" on the writing and filming process. "this actor phoned it in" "that actor asked for too much movie so they cut them out." Stop that.

Another thing: just because you didn't get it, doesn't mean it's a "plot hole." Watch it again. Think.

Don't assume you're smarter than the writers/directors. So many people are calling out "plot holes" which are not holes at all.

The purest forms of techniques were used early on. Everything after that is inspired by it and not a perfect representation.

Recommendations if you actually care about cinema and not just about sounding smart on the internet: David Lynch, Stanley Kubrick, Akira Kurosawa.

And honestly, don't even bother analyzing until you have watched the original filmmakers who used the techniques. No this isn't gatekeeping. This is me telling you not to judge a wheel without knowing what a circle is.

It is very important for us to all agree on these terms because people are very confidently wrong on the internet. If you hear a word or phrase, please look it up before repeating it. And correct the person who said it incorrectly if you can.

This is very important. "Media Literacy." This does not mean what you think it means. It doesn't mean recognizing symbolism in movies. Media literacy is the ability to recognize bias in publications.

"Cinematography" isn't a catch all for writing, story arcs, and screen time per character...

I'm being sincere. I hate that every device I own is currently updating to feed ai going forward. Even my watch now apparently.

Are there any devices that would allow you to post here that aren't paying billionaires in cash and personal data?

What are you going to do about it? Nothing? That's why.

I found a function here on BlueSky that lets you block Twitter screenshots which has been a lifesaver. @xblock.aendra.dev

That's what the doctors have been telling your parents since your first check up, I'm sure.

My only point is one the public grabs on to a term, it will inevitably be misused. Honestly I don't even know what counts as ai anymore. Seems like anything that has "if...then" coded into it gets considered ai

Society isn't writing a dissertation. Not do they care to. Society works with what experts give them. If you let things become buzzwords, they lose meaning in common vernacular. See: mental health terminology, abuse terminology, woke, and now ai. It's experts responsibility to educate the masses.

I'm all for ai if it can detect cancer 5 years before human run tests could. It it could save lives. The same way I am all for x ray machines. If it can help doctors save lives.

I don't think we needed ai to pump out annual video game slop. Pay artists. Take 5 years to develop.

Quick reminder that the people that make these decisions want us all dead.
