This bird did this for almost a week. Hopping around the hummingbird feeder, pecking on the window until it could see me looking at it.
I never learned what it was trying to tell me. It was definitely weird.

Today, I was walking in the woods with our granddaughter Megan when we chanced upon this beautiful Monarch Butterfly. It was 49 degrees farhenheit and out of the sunshine for the day and unable to fly away so it suffered the indignity of posing for me for a short time.
It will not make it to Mexico.
