‘93-96 would have been before I really started paying attention to space. For me Grasshopper was less about breaking new ground for humanity and more about SpaceX demonstrating in public (livestreamed!) that they were pursuing propulsive landing.

I remember watching the SpaceX Grasshopper test flights and being absolutely blown away that they could so smoothly control this massive rocket.
