1) The New Sound - Geordie Greep

If you have seen me irl you have seen me shill the hell out of this album, and if you don't believe me at least believe in Kojima who also rates it.

This album is a chaotic blend of sounds which is aptly described by the albums name (next tweet)

2) Absolute Elsewhere - Blood Incantation

Blood Incantations previous work being a fully synth based album had me wondering if they would fuse concepts from synth and metal and boy did they ever. The fusion of the genres they've explored with shines out into some of their best work so far

3) Coup de Grace - SeeYouSpaceCowboy

This album sonically is music to my ears. Non-stop energy for most of the song and the tone and tunes and sound of each song are incredible.

Incredible work by the band and excited to hear what they will create in the future

4) American Standard - Uniform

This might be one of the harder albums to get through on this list. The emotional response that Uniform gets across in conveying their struggles with Bulumia is immedietly felt. However, the journey through this album provides a sense of release that i cant describe

5) Ferried Away - Stay Inside

A post-rock hardcore album that grew on me over the year. Everytime the songs on the album go into their choruses, I just love the pounding and cadence in each song. I additionally think that the trumpets add such nice touch to the album and fill it with uniquness

6) Children of the Moon - State Faults

This album has a lot of high energy moments that is equally balanced with shoegazey moments and while you're listening you realize you've been head banging to the riff carrying the song in the background the whole time. Phenomenal

7) Now I see The Light - Toe

I shan't lie, I have been fiending for a new Toe release in forever especially after I heard them when watching Sonny Boy and what can I say, the song rips still!

Can't recommend an album enough if you just want to coast along and enjoy the beauties of just being alive

8) Sorry It's Over - The OBGMS

The OBGMS are probably one of my favourite bands of recent memories and i am biased, but I can't deny the record they put out this year continues to polish and push the unique sound of their band

Liar is such a good song,i listened to it 20 times in one day‼️

Dark Times - Vince Staples

I didn't realize how much i liked this album until i realized i was just throwing it on at work, on the way and on my walks. Whenever Vince Staples makes an album he establishes the vibe immedietely and you just stay locked in

10) Grief Chapter - Mother Mother

This is my favourite Mother Mother Record easily. The lyrics truly voice the emotional despair through various periods of just being human yet the tracks themselves convey those lyrics in such an interesting form that matches the complexity of those feelings

I would like to make a special shout out to the album I honestly probably listened to the most which was the Blue Giant Soundtrack by Hiromi. Having been to the venue of the final performance in the movie in real life, I think both movie and soundtrack are so good and got me through this year
