The cage that Elizabeth used to catch butterflies in felt kind of similar to the batteries Victor used, I went with the idea of the Creature being trapped in the battery casing with Victor as the beholder. Not sure if it lines up but I thought it would look cool LMAO #chromaheartart #frankenstein

This is a great reminder… While creating doesn’t feel like it used to anymore in any creative outlet I have, shards of it will come back in short periods. Still trying to navigate through it & reconnect even now, & while it doesn’t feel like it to me, I /am/ making progress 💪
It can be incredibly hard to see your progress when recovering from depression or burnout. The whole world keeps demanding certain benchmarks of you to the point that it’s easy to feel like a failure despite your hard work. Remember your progress is your own journey. Every win means something.

Honestly, the best way to make an artist’s day is by being very specific about what you like about a piece. Geek out a lil. Gush over how they use line, color, texture. Every mark is layed down by the artist, so if you can connect with those little moments, it helps the artist feel seen.
