Great point. For most people eating a balanced diet, extra vitamins often don’t add benefit and can even cause harm if dosed too high. Wise to spend energy and money on good nutrition and only supplement when there's medical need.

This is a great resource! I love the visuals on the healthy eating plate & how it is kid friendly. It definitely makes it more approachable for both the kids and parents. I also like how it lets you do a more indepth dive if you want to read about certain food groups.

That comment about his weight drove him to avoid care, even with severe chest pain. No patient should feel too ashamed to seek help. Providers must create a compassionate and nonjudgmental environment so people feel safe addressing their health and to make changes.

This is so true! I will never buy farm fresh seafood after watching a video of how they're raised/fed. You can truly taste and see the difference in fish from farm raised and wild caught fish.

It can be challenging to develop a routine, I usually find it the worst within the first two weeks of the semester, but once I find out what works with my schedule it works a lot easier. Dates are my favorite fruit to eat in the morning, quick carbs and a good source of fiber!

Absolutely! Due to how expensive fish like salmon can be, I opt for taking fish oil pills instead. Although it's not a replacement, and I still eat salmon when I can, it's a good supplement to ensure I am still getting my omega-3s in.

While this can lead to weight loss, it often comes with some drawbacks in terms of energy and hunger. Many people experience fatigue, headaches, and difficulty concentrating during the early stages of the diet as the body adjusts to lower glucose levels. In my opinion it is not sustainable long term

That is a great alternative to try and kill that sweet tooth craving! I do something very similar but I like to add 100% cacao for some additional antioxidants! You should give it a try
