I buggered off to Mexico City, which may well turn out to be a good decisión
I've become more moderate over the years, especially after having lived outside the US in Mexico City for the past 3.5 years. I can say for certain that I am anti-Trump and I hope the adults are back in charge again soon

I'm 54 and I remember when DuPage County, Illinois was solid Republican, Reagan Country. Now it's Democrat by a fairly large margin

I would like to know just how many tax dollars were spent on this shit show per person that was actually deported. (Obama deported a lot of people without shit shows)

Ah yes, the 60's: assassinations, a draft, and riots in our cities. I'll pass thanks

I do agree there needs to be more affordable housing, but that means plain boxes with the only amenity really being a couple of window AC's
November 11, 2025 at 10:40 PM
The 70's frankly sucked ass: ugly clothes, terrible economy, high crime, pollution, and the cars were so bad that the Ford Granada was considered cool
November 11, 2025 at 10:34 PM
My first apartment in 1992, I bought a window AC from a pawn shop for $50 and dragged it home on a Milwaukee city bus and then up the stairs. I was actually thankful for that old beast

I just Googled it, and unemployment in the US as a whole reached 10.8% In December of 1982. Happy Holidays!
November 11, 2025 at 3:04 AM
Wasn't there a point in the early 80's where unemployment in the US approached 10%? Some of my friends from that time have fond memories of unemployment checks, food stamps, and other not so fun things

One of the best things about living in Mexico is that the previous president got rid of Daylight Savings Time and the present president doesn't want to bring it back
