We have a seagull (Mrs. Seagull) we've been feeding off and on for years. This morning I put out the usual wet bread scraps with some wonderful salmon skin (from dinner). Well, somehow the word got out and 5+ gulls showed up. Damn!

The step daughter I thought was the best turns out to be not so nice - very controlling and unkind to people (maybe racist). And the one I had misgivings about (politically) is very kind and loving. I have no one left in my own family so husband's kids/grands are it. Getting old and need to plan.

Just remembering my mom used to read tea leaves. As a teen I also had my palm read (amazingly accurate) by a family friend and went to one of those meetings where the person channels the dead.. Pretty esoteric happenings in my family.

The year I scored with a nurse's outfit for me and one for my doll. I also got a cowgirl outfit. This was very unusual since my dad was often on strike that time of year. Check out that poor tree and the 1950's tv.

This continuous rainfall is causing lots of flooding. We just had 18 fire units respond to a person trapped in a mudslide close by. People in rural areas are relocating livestock to public fairgrounds.
