Building the Lego Game Boy and I’m flabbergasted by the write up on Link’s Awakening in the manual. If we had tried to call the series anything aside from “The Legend of Zelda” on first reference during my time at Nintendo Power, Reggie himself would have stormed in and powerbombed the lot of us.

I believe today is the actual 20th anniversary of when I started at Nintendo Power! My first assignment was writing/editing the 2005 holiday buyer’s guide. It was supposed to contain a big section on Game Boy Micro’s custom faceplates but that got cut when that feature was essentially abandoned.
