Sometimes you never know what you’re going to learn at the library. I picked up a copy of Michigan Associate of Rail Passengers newspaper, and then found a meeting of the Great Lakes Lace Group. They taught me the basics of lace making!

Some positive news concerning the bird that I took in yesterday.
Hello. Thanks for checking in on Vireo 2364 They are stable and have improved a bit since yesterday. We are carefully monitoring their condition and weight to ensure that they are eating and staying at a healthy weight for their age and species and that their symptoms do not get worse. They are currently in our Adult Room where we keep all of our adult birds while they're in care and they have access to plenty of fresh food and water. Thanks for bringing them in and for caring about the birds!

Soon after David Sleasman became librarian at the Brian Sutton-Smith Library and Archives of Play in Rochester, New York, he got a phone call about checkers. The caller wanted to donate his father's collection-not of boards or game pieces, but of the literature of checkers. "I'm thinking, 'How much can this be?'" Sleasman remembers. The answer? Got placed in maybe the worst seat on the Lakeshore Limited. Aisle, no window, no tray table or footrest, right above the wheels, and as close to the engine as possible so you hear every horn. Also have a light on directly in my face. I don’t recommend seat #58!

Harvested milkweed pods from my yard for adding to the Ypsilanti seed library. Swamp milkweed did NOT produce much this year, but two common milkweed plants provided a bounty!

Does anyone know of a 7-segment display replacement for an Instant air fryer? This is currently set at 400F.
