Yeah it is a simplification down to a teaching example. It would show up is in 0 spline interpolations and nearest neighbor interpolations. So table lookups in process engineering see this, but that gets away from the story. I think you see this example and can extrapolate. At least for a short.

Yes, I agree you still need an expert modeler to verify the equations are correct.
