Thanks to The Line for running this piece I wrote. I look at how partisans in Canada disagree on where it is important for emission reductions to take place.

A difficult topic to broach in today's public opinion environment!

These are solar water heaters and not photovoltaics systems that we commonly refer to as solar panels today.
In 1979, Jimmy Carter installed solar panels on the White House. In 1986, Ronald Reagan tore them down along w/Carter’s clean energy funding.

This sums up the difference between the two men & political parties. Investing in solutions for the future vs canceling progress to score political points.

I agree with the takes that $300B climate finance annually by 2035, from rich countries disproportionately responsible for climate change to poorer ones disproportionately impacted, isn’t nearly enough. But I’ll also be pleasantly surprised if we’re on track for that target in the coming years.

Imagine the Ontario election happens before the federal and ONDP place definitively 2nd.

That sets up a far stronger foundation for associating NDP as the alternative. And Ontario is so important.

Of course the main battle is Trudeau vs Poilievre but the Singh vs Ford B-plot is underrated
Nova Scotia provincial voting intentions from Abacus Data: (Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 26)

🔵PCNS 48%
🟠NDP 28%
🔴LIB 22%
🟢GPNS 1%
