In addition to these TBD funds, SDOT controls most of the right of way used by Metro in the City of Seattle, including importantly where bus lanes do or don't exist.

Another update from their blog today - by the end of the month they expect to intermittently run single-car 2 Line test trains (out of service) interlined with the 1 Line all the way to Lynnwood during some peak commute hours www.soundtransit.org/blog/platfor...
Crosslake Update: Testing advances on the floating bridge | Sound Transit
The 2 Line connection between Seattle and the Eastside will transform how we travel around the region when it opens in early 2026.

On the bright side, I am heartened that we are finally adding wayfinding to the airport on these signs - and some floor decals pointing towards the southbound platform in Westlake Station. Not sure how new that trend is but it has been sorely needed ever since the southern terminus went past SeaTac.

You spoke too soon @typewriteralley.bsky.social, in the Monthly Project Performance update they went into more detail than ever before about the cathodic protection system. 🙃

Update: We just started moving towards Roosevelt. There was zero communication until 15 seconds before we started moving besides the automated "We are currently experiencing a delay but will be moving shortly" announcements. Which were 1000% false as a 30 min delay at the platform is not "shortly"

We have been being held at U District for the past 15 min after being held at UW for 10 min. No communication besides that we are single tracking and "waiting our turn" - hard to know whether to bail without more info...

It was me - glad to see others are also excited for TJ's to move in to the neighborhood! Excited to do my TJ's stops before transferring from the 1 Line to the 75!

Any word on when the cathodic protection system on I-90 will be complete? i.e. live wire test trains on I-90 when? 🙃

These trains dwelled for 20 seconds to simulate alighting and boarding. In August they will run the same test but also allowing actual passengers to board.
