Former writer and reviewer, now at Apple doing fun things. I run and play Magic: The Gathering in my rare free time.
I asked my wife last night if she wanted to watch this season (she didn't watch S1) or if I should start without her, and she is worried it'll be too intense, and this isn't going to persuade her otherwise.

You're right on that, where the ceiling and floor for Time Walk are much further apart than they are for Ancestral.

We did a lot of sharing and discussing Cube at work last year and one big debate was over Time Walk. Myself and someone else had super clean WR decks with Time Walk where they played it and I cut it. I think too many people try to cram it into those aggressive decks and hurt their mana doing so.

Our school district in Silicon Valley, where a damn house is $2-3 million for a starter home, does not offer bus service. It's ridiculous. The kids can walk from Middle and High School, but there wasn't a safe way to walk home from Grade School.

I just got a 4TB on sale before prices went insane, glad I did that and that the kids built their PCs this summer. I'm sure Valve is happy they didn't announced a Steam PC price.

Supply at Microcenter is still decent, but who knows how long that will last.

I qualified for RC DC this past weekend, which is nearly 6 months away. There will be three new sets in standard before the RC, and this isn't one of them. I don't understand why they try to make us not be hyped for the new set coming in a month instead of this?

I got it in my mid 20s and it sucked. My wife got it last year right before she could get the vaccine and so much worse. Just awful, still some nerve damage from it. Get the damn vaccine.

I had condensation all over my beard after a bike ride from the fog.

My wife is not social, and she unfortunately got hurt last week so her marathon on Sunday (was aiming for another sub-3:00 at 50) is off, but she is still not going to my company holiday party tomorrow.

I think I lost my copy during a move sometime this past decade. It was great, though.

My kids built them this summer (lots of fun!). Priced out the same systems at the same store this week, hundreds of dollars more.

It's literally 3x in 2-3 months now (see price chart). Once companies run out of their stockpiles, things are going to go up. pcpartpicker.com/product/pwxR...

My oldest kid (16) has to do all their essays in class as too many kids kept using AI at home. Makes those days very stressful for him.

Still going to get my Dad a "Oregon State: 2025 Pac-12 Co-Champions" T-shirt for Christmas

No one else in the house likes mashed potatoes so I skipped them this year, but maybe I'll do this tomorrow.

One time staying in Vegas for CES a friend ordered an LG service remote that came the next day to fix the TV in his room.
