Finished my Spring Spiral yarn. Got a bit tangled about half way through and had to cut out a small bit so ended up with 2 hanks instead of one, total of about 100 yards.

One of my favorite sanity savers is fiber arts. Just finished spinning a fat single which I plan to spiral ply with silk thread. Fiber is Polwarth purchased from Shirsty Cat Designs. I stripped the braid lengthwise into 8 sections, spun it worsted.

Not spending any money today, and staying off all social media except here on Bluesky. Makes for a perfect day to spin so I steamed a purchased fiber to loosen it up, then stripped it lengthwise and curled into nests. Now I have to rest and ice my hands before spinning.

50501 Connecticut protest. Really good turnout, lots of supportive horn honking, an a one woman Chinese fire drill - she jumped out of her car at a red light right in front of me, and danced her way around her car. Very encouraging to see all the positive interactions from passing motorists.

With all the ugly going on, I feel the need for some silliness. I’m thinking something like this hat I made during the pandemic shutdown. Only this time, not knit but wet felt incorporating one of my handspun art yarns.

Fibery things help keep me sane in this currently unfathomably bleak world. Current knit: basic toe up rib sock for my DIL. Current spin: angora from one of my bunnies, Hoppy Hooligan. Current wet felt: a not yet well fulled vessel.

At a Pride rally yesterday, a few counter protesters showed up and rally organizers got an Angel Wall in actionto block the haters, drown their hate speech, and slowly push the haters away. I evntually joined the Wall to give someone a break. Being an active participant proved stress relieving.
