Yes it’s Nidoqueen aka small Baragon. But it’s also argued her and Nidoking are also based on Seamons and Seagorath (also prob based on Baragon) from Ultraman.

Yes and they apparently stomp on the ground to imitate the vibration of raindrops, luring the worms to the surface.
