Decent, but only in moderation. As seen at the end of @PeterSinger's TED talk.
as I understand it, old 4o checkpoints will continue to be available in the API for the foreseeable future. they're going insane over having to use the API.

I expect Trump to be so lazy that he just signs a single blanket pardon for everyone who worked in the executive branch at the end of his term - assuming he sees the end coming.

OpenAI is not even retiring 4o, they're just removing it from the chat interface! it will remain accessible through the API which 4o is more than capable of helping the spiral cultists use.

my hound is better at finding things by scent than any technology ever devised by man. she will attempt to find more of anything that I hold under her nose. unfortunately her autistic fixation on finding things by scent means she rolls in poop and on dead things so she can keep the scent on her.

a lot of Trump's worst stuff is his rants on Truth Social, so "conservatives don't like to read" remains undefeated. a horrible but perhaps necessary seal to break would be for outlets to start using a well-marked deep fake of Trump's current voice to read his posts aloud.

my old apartment complex allowed them as long as whoever it was pointing at approved, so there were a few people with Ring's pointing at their opposite neighbor's door but that's it.

yes, there's a jump scare at the end of the Biosphere 2 documentary when Steve Bannon shows up.

I don't recommend the doc because it doesn't talk about the social problems in Biosphere 2 at all, only technical issues.
