Any day now, I expect Gort and Klaatu to return to Washington DC to take control and lay down the law. Based on the message they delivered from their original visit, they won't take kindly to the current administration.

Wanted to check out the local fall color - it’s dismal this year so far. Here are some photos from Chagrin River park - at least for one photo we had some bright sun. Otherwise everything looks muted and dull.

We visit Lakeshore Reservation at least once a year when the area is at full green “lushness” but I enjoy photographing this part of the park in black and white.

And now for something completely different! I was feeling “artsy” the other day and used a photo I took of common jewelweed leaves and altered - and then inverted - the color. I like it better than the normal, plain green leaves. Something very calming about it…

I never thought I’d get propaganda from the SSA, but here it is. It’s not spam, sadly, and spreads misleading (false) information. I am thoroughly disgusted.

We were out for a walk in the heat and this huge thunderstorm popped up nearby. Here’s the huge cumulonimbus cloud from about 15 miles east. Made it home in time before the big rain hit! (Panorama)

Temps were in the low 90s at home so we drove a few miles to the beach at Mentor Headlands to cool off. It was 88° there 😉. This heat wave can’t end soon enough!

Short time lapse from the first big wave of the snow that started on Saturday - a quick 9+ inches of snow in as many hours. And it only got worse after that! We probably got minimum of 2 feet of snow from the whole snow event. More snow and high winds coming - not looking forward to it!

The Lake Erie lake effect snow machine is running at full throttle. Things really cranked up here in Lake County Ohio this morning at about 9:45 and it’s been whiteout conditions since then. Here’s a look out my back door, it looks like heavy fog and visibility just feet away is horrible!

For Law & Order fans in Canada asking when the mothership will air, Feb 22 it looks like it’s moving to the 7PM time slot, with L&O Toronto Criminal Intent taking over 8PM (see pic). Can’t find any episode details anywhere for the LOTCI episode, sorry.
