I was waiting until the SuperStation One was going to arrive before starting, purely because I thought I'd have more fun with playing these games on a CRT while being able to record from HDMI as well

some things you don't expect to hear said by random strangers but the old boy on the till in the charity shop telling me about his addiction to going online and buying sega saturn consoles and games was very high on that list

these nights are always so funny, staying up till 4am for 3 announcements I care about at most, knowing that I'm going to spend 2026 playing wipeout 2097 or whatever as I normally do, wouldn't miss it for the world

I don't often compliment mclaren tactics but it's quite funny that by being weird they've left max 20 seconds in the lead and unable to play any games at the moment

just rewatched that clip of vettel naming all the champions for grill the grid and the thing is, while I accept that he and I are weird for being able to do that and don't actually mean this, I do also think that everyone who's into F1 should be able to, just as a matter of historical curiosity

been on a strange arc of finally actually finishing some NES games. seen these games/endings a million times and I cheated my ass off with NSO rewinds and the like but it feels important that I have technically finished these games myself now

thought I'd humour nintendo a bit this evening, not really messed around much with tabletop mode before but it does work pretty well for relaxing with a low impact small screen if you've broken your attention span that badly
