Everyone complains about the Discover feed here but the algorithms at Google, a trillion dollar company, think I would be interested in a 6.0 earthquake 5 days ago in New Zealand

Another new feature includes the ability for the generator Gradle plugin to automatically create "Unknown" sealed types to represent events that can't be parsed using the set of known lexicons. This forward compatibility ensures that you won't experience deserialization crashes.

I've published version 0.3.0 of my Kotlin Multiplatform bindings for Bluesky. The main highlight of this release is support for Jetstream to consume the Bluesky firehose. It supports all the features of Jetstream, including Zstd compression to reduce message sizes in transit.

Pretty pleased with the current API I have so far. Returns the record content as a kotlinx-serialization `JsonContent` object but it can also be easily converted to a proper model if paired with the existing Bluesky module.

Oh absolutely – I'm getting close with JS (via github.com/yoshihitoh/z...) but the encoding is all funky 😭

Working on a Kotlin interface for the Jetstream API. Zstd compression already working in JVM, gonna be a bit harder to make that possible in JS and/or iOS before it's production-ready though...

Last change of the night: set includes/excludes for API to filter methods based on their atproto identifier. Thought about reusing Gradle's CopySpec API here for a familiar feel, but felt wrong given it's not matching filepaths.
