I've just released fully documented source code for The Sentinel as an easy-to-browse website.

It's a lot more fun to explore than the GitHub repository, with cross-references, popups, indexes, statistics and more.

Enjoy!

Aw man 😞 Rest in peace Mr Cheifet, host of Computer Chronicles: obits.goldsteinsfuneral.com/stewart-chei...

What a legend. His work in both presenting and preserving the early days of computer history has been (and will continue to be) deeply appreciated! My condolences to his family and friends.

When I converted the ZX81 game last month, it was 8.5K. It should be easy to fit that into 8K, right?

I look at #Commodore64 "Stunt Car Racer". Published in 1989 by MicroStyle, coded by Geoffrey Crammond. Using double buffered bitmaps, nice use of sprites, bitmap clear and engine draw, with a delta colour update, 3D Line draw, and a tweak to render more track!
