Getting there, it’s a nice way to spend an hour or so. Mrs Christmas looking very festive, I’m sure I can get the Mrs into miniature painting as she loved painting this. She says it’s not done yet!

Mrs and I doing some quality (not so) mini painting! Resisting the urge to apply washes and highlights 😄 using just the paints that came with the set, so I could add a little bit of white to the pink for some highlights, touch of red for the rosy cheeks… maybe

Marine scouts, and a Captain, ready for a long long bath to remove the grime and shame. Going to put some cucumber slices on their eyes, a few scented candles around the tub, some Marvin Gaye on in the background. They’ll be chilled and ready to look good in the new year.

But.. stay with the half white and half blue or go for a metallic silver and blue look. I’m 50/50 at the moment, but the metallic would be quicker but the white and blue more authentic to the era. Seen a few decent examples while researching. (Examples below from Reddit, painters names in alt info)

I’ve been thinking about what potential chapter I’m going to paint, and I think I’ve found the one. I had thought about Crimson Fists, Mentors, Nova Marines, Astral Claws. But I think I’m going to choose Marines Errant!
I like the paint scheme and lore, they sound doomed for now.

My new year, new army project for 3rd edition 40k is taking shape. I’ve got work to do, mould lines, big chunks of sprue attached to shoulder pads & various areas, paint as thick as night, some parts to be swapped & pinned. I still need to figure out a chapter, something Badab maybe… #Warhammer40k

The beginnings of my new year, new army project have started to arrive and yeah… wow they need rescuing! Obviously all advertised as pro painted on fleabay. Paint stripper, blowtorch, an exorcist and a chisel on standby!

No wonder I never get anything done, I’ve got waaaay too many games. Absolute project paralysis and unable to get stuff finished and played, I joke but maybe I’m not quite right in the old noggin governor! Made a list of games I own and/or want to play next year. And it really hasn’t helped.

Help pls, this metal apothecary is shown with a standard backpack but do any of you know if the second pic is what would have come with the mini? Or would it have had a metal backpack? I’m overthinking for a change.

Got derailed a bit, told you I’m a slow painter. Skin tones, gold trim, boots & trouser base coats done. Leather, metals and cloth to go, a little tidy up, then washes.

Primed black and then zenithal spray of ‘Tlalocan Red’ by TTcombat. A can I picked up from one of their mystery boxes a while back, first time using it. Nice.

Finished some zombies by crooked dice, for use in my Frostgrave bestiary. Went will a more rotten and plagued looking bunch, happy enough with them. Pass the 3 foot challenge!

Pinning all done, just need to clip the excess off. Then it’s priming time! Thinking Matt black base, then zenithal dark red/possibly dark purple.
Going to use the classic Khorne colour scheme of red and brass/gold as I’ve never painted that scheme before.

I’ve pinned this Bloodseeker from underneath, through the base and their tippy toes! Vice drill, a paper clip and a blob of super glue should keep this mini on the base in all the rough and tumble of #BloodBowl

Khorne players all assembled! Thought I was being smart using skulls under a raised foot to give the mini some balance/protection, but nah, going to need pinning to the base. #BloodBowl
