@chloehadj.bsky.social first called me about this story back in early 2024. As she laid the details over the phone I was astounded: a 14-year-old boy had a 'relationship' with his 27-year-old female teacher but no one wanted to see him as a victim of sexual abuse.

For Syria followers this is not a surprise- grave diggers were telling us about daily deliveries of trucks full of bodies years ago. Very few were listening.
Mass graves are being discovered across Syria. One in Qutayfah, outside Damascus is estimate to hold 150,000 people. It is hard to comprehend the extent of Assad's slaughter
