this is a really rough comparison. there is more nuance and difference

if the concern is about ethics, then the difference can be the fair use of the voices that are a viable and the risk of misuse of a voice. but difference on a performance level really crude put. TTS uses limited machine learning and sounds rather neutral to robotic.
