NiGHTS canonically uses any pronouns but personally I prefer they/them because they were the first character I ever encountered that was outside the gender binary like that. It was an instance where I was like oh....you can do that.....wow

I wouldn't call that, more just an attempt to combat the idea that all Eltarians are evil with little to support it in the text. As seen by how the main examples here are "Eltarian raised on Earth" and "An Eltarian saved me when I was a kid"
